To the Editor:
My name is Todd Canedy and I am the father of the boy who was hit in the crosswalk on the way to school in Potsdam.
Although Parker was listed at 12 years of age, he is actually 14 years old, but that is not why I am writing to the paper.
I am writing to the paper to express my and Kerri’s deep and sincere gratitude to the first responders.
When something like this happens, it shakes you up as a parent.
The response from our EMTs, police and volunteers fire fighters was overwhelming! Thank you for watching out for my son and all of the citizens of St. Lawrence County. We are in good hands because of your dedication and hard work, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
