To the Editor:
This past week, while piecing our lives back together after losing everything in a house fire, we have had much for which to be grateful. We are grateful to the firefighters, from multiple departments, who risked their lives to try to save our home.
We are grateful to family members who remind us what family is all about. We are grateful for a selfless, generous parish family, which actively shows that they are Christ's hands on Earth. We are grateful for our small town community, which has a heart bigger then the miles it encompasses.
We are grateful for tireless friends, both old and new, who never stop showing their support in so many spectacular ways. We are grateful for our son's school community and its all encompassing love and compassion.
We are grateful for a work community, which is supportive of its employees. We are grateful for the donors to the Red Cross which help keep such a fantastic organization running. We are grateful for the hugs and prayers, which held us up when we thought we would crumble.
We are humbled and we feel blessed. Thank you.
