Opinion: DA candidate will fight for victims of crimes, says Massena woman

To the Editor:

Although 2017 is not a presidential, gubernatorial, or congressional election year, it is nonetheless an important election year in St. Lawrence County.

The candidate we elect for St. Lawrence County District Attorney must have the legal experience, tenacity, and managerial skills to also tackle the growing drug crime epidemic that has spread throughout St. Lawrence County.

I believe that Gary Pasqua is that person.

I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Gary after he participated in the Louisville Turtle Trot Walk-Run this past July. Although Gary is quiet in demeanor, he impressed me as a very intelligent man with a passion for the law who would fight and advocate for the victims of crimes.

My impression of Gary was reinforced by a law enforcement friend of mine who told me that Gary was well liked by law enforcement in Franklin County where he served as chief assistant district attorney.

Please vote on November 7, for Gary Pasqua for St. Lawrence County district attorney.
