To the Editor:

The Family of Hilda (Taillon) Shampine of Colton would like to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our friends, co-workers, and everyone who sent our mother a card, paid her a visit, made a donation in her name, came to her services, sent flowers or food, held mass in her name, etc. and helped support us with your kindness and caring.

We wish to thank the Colton Seniors group, Mom’s Bridge Club Girls, the Parishville Rescue Squad and Emily of Health Services of NNY.

Thank you to the nurses and doctors at Fletcher Allen and CPH for your compassion and patience. A very special thank you to Dr. Tulloch, Dr. Piet-Brown, and especially Dr. Timothy Atkinson; the North Country would be lost without you.

We will miss mom’s smile, her spirit, and her laughter!
