Opinion: Cobb would work for more fair country for all, says Canton resident

To the Editor:

I have lived in Canton, New York for the past 19 years and met Tedra Cobb about 15 years ago when our young children attended school and church together. Her intellect, compassion for others, strong work ethic, and commitment to make the world a better place have always impressed me.

I am very excited about the opportunity to vote for her next fall so that she may represent our district, NY 21, in Congress.

Tedra has lived in the North Country for 30 years, attended college here, raised children and worked here. This is quite different from our current representative, but key to understanding what is important to residents in the North Country and what will help our communities thrive.

Her experience leading a health agency, operating her own business, serving as a legislator for St. Lawrence County and as a board member for numerous organizations such as North Country Children’s Clinic and Renewal House have well prepared her for the work of Congress. Experience really does matter.

We need people in Congress who will work for a more fair and just country for all, not just the wealthy.

We need people who will help us protect our planet for future generations to enjoy as we have. We need people who will help move this country forward instead of back.

Tedra Cobb is that kind of person so let us all go to the polls to elect her and see what great representation can do!
