Opinion: Changes by Cole helped treasurer's office run smoother, says Ogdensburg resident

To the Editor:

I'm asking for your serious consideration in voting for Renee Cole as our next county treasurer on Nov 8. I have known Renee most of my life.

I grew up with Renee, we attended Heuvelton Central School. We were in Girl Scouts together. We played soccer, and softball for the Lady Bulldogs.

I've seen her work ethic, and witnessed first hand her hard work and the determination that drives her to give her job a 150%. She takes pride in her work and I've seen this demonstrated regularly in the last 9 months.

Renee stepped up to take on the duties of our county's treasurer and has given it her all and then some. She has worked late nights and weekends keeping the treasurer's office running as smoothly as possible. Renee's work experience and the improvements she has implemented in our county departments have saved the county (our taxpayers hard earned) money, or helped to bring in revenue in to offset growing expenditures.

She deserves to be commended on her honest work in trying to better the treasurer's office. I recently heard her response to a question about the policies and procedures of the treasurer.

She explained how her past work experience has already helped to make some small changes. The changes that have already been implemented have helped the treasurer's office to run smoother and more efficiently. I know she will do a great job as our county treasurer.

I'm voting Renee Cole on Nov. 8. Please join me in supporting her and vote Renee this Election Day.
