To the Editor:
Again, I, Terry L. Billings, the current superintendent of highways, will ask you for your support for re-election.
This elected position of superintendent of highways here in the Town of Canton is one of the most critical offices.
I offer you experience, knowledge of all aspects of the job, extreme dedication, and most of all a commitment of service to members and guests in our community.
I remain healthy and mentally prepared to lead, what I consider, the most focused and accomplished highway crew in the history of Canton.
We are prepared to handle anything Mother Nature sends our way and are equipped to cover construction needs.
This office provides support to the town fire departments, the NYS DOT during storm or construction events, and as well, St. Lawrence County Central Dispatch.
Currently, I have the endorsement of the CSEA Highway Unit supporting my re-election; this is an honor to accept.
Being a USMC military veteran, I understand the importance of your team being there 100 percent.
I am a firm believer that you lead by example.
Now and in the future, I will focus on supporting the Canton Town Board in their efforts to make Canton a comfortable place to live.
I support shared services not only to offer advice but to the cost savings when working together.
In closing, the superintendent of highways position in Canton, is and always will be a full time commitment.
Terry L. Billings
Highway Superintendent
Town of Canton
