Opinion: Assemblywoman Russell fair and consistent in getting job done, says Massena man

To the Editor:

I have known Addie Russell for almost a decade and I can honestly say that she is one of the most caring and compassionate elected officials of our era.

Assemblywoman Russell is fair and consistently getting the job done; whether it is working on our health care issues, jobs, education or businesses in our hometown “The River District”.

Addie has lived in the district for her entire life other than her adult education where she put herself through law school and understands the commitment and difficulty it is for many to obtain an education; which is critical for our future in the North Country.

In her hometown of Theresa, she grew up with her family supported by her father running his business as a diesel mechanic. From her life experiences she knows family values, business difficulties and the importance of healthcare and the lack of healthcare to many.

Addie has worked hard to improve herself and represent the constituents of the River District. Assemblywoman Russell has seniority in the Assembly and has proven her ability to secure funding for the river district.

John Byrne promises will be empty promises as if elected he will be in the minority and will not have the ability to fill these false promises.

Addie Russell has assisted many towns with water quality issues such as Orleans and Pitcairn, a half million dollars for Orleans alone. Addie has secured $250,000 for Massena and she is working on making it a half million dollars. Ask yourself what other representatives in some of these areas have done for their constituents.

Unfortunately her opponent John Byrne has tried to mislead the voters of the 116th River District with commercials and ads that are incorrect. In fact he has also been deceitful to business customers about his so-called business experience.

Byrne is being deceiving to the voters as well; his negative, inaccurate ads have increased as his millionaire and billionaire supporters have increased contributions. These billionaires are the same people that would control him if he were elected to office. We cannot have any of these outsiders to dictate how our River District is governed.

On Tuesday, November 8 please join me in supporting Assemblywomen Addie Russell. She is our voice!
