To the Editor,
I would like to ask Steven Gossett of NYPA how the fact that the taxpayers of Massena, Waddington and Louisville were forced to make up for the loss of the taxes that would have been paid on 33,000 acres for the past 60 years, while the taxpayers of the Niagara project only had to deal with the loss of taxes on one tenth of that is not relevant?
I find it be very pertinent to the discussion, I also find it to be quite a coincidence that while the impact in western NY was one tenth of the impact here, the settlement they received in the relicensing was ten times larger than what we received! Ultimately the real question is which area has the most votes, and once again, the North Country loses!
