Norwood-Norfolk-Raymondville Outreach Program helps 325 individuals in 2016

To the Editor:

The Neighborhood Outreach Program wishes to thank community members, organizations, and individuals for their time, talents and support throughout the 2016 calendar year. It is with great pleasure that we report 325 individuals, 103 families and 130 children were helped through the Christmas give-away program.

We were able to give each family a box filled with food, including a voucher for a free turkey and fresh fruits and vegetables. A wrapped gift for each child, school supplies, toys, new hats, mittens and scarves.

Every year we ask for the support of local community members like yourself and each year we are impressed and overjoyed with the response we receive. It is your kindness, generosity and continued hard work that enable us to reach out and help so many this time of year.

Those who donated throughout the year include, but are not limited to: Lights on the River, Cynthia & Daniel Aikman, Barbara Skoda, Steve Skoda, Jane Squires, Kevin & Deborah Willet, Norfolk VFD, Anthony Collins, Clarkson University, John Martin, Hobble Gobble, Norwood United Methodist Church,

American Legion Post 925, M/M Herb Bullock, M/M Matthew Mott, J.C Merriman, American Legion Auxiliary Post 925, Bucks Funeral Home, American Legion Auxiliary 68, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and Guild, Baldwin Acres, St. Raymond’s, St. Raymond’s Altar and Rosary Society, Geraldine Grady, Norwood VFW, retired nurses, N-N Teacher’s Association, NNCS Honor Society, Norwood Free Methodist Church, Sons of the American Legion Post 68, Clark Robinson American Legion Post 68, First Congregational, Fornightly Club, Perry’s Market, NNCS Food Drive, BOCES, Church of the Visitation of Norfolk, Danco Construction, CORC Store, Common Center thrift store, Whistle Stop, Northern Machining, Wesleyan Church, Jerry Murray, Robert Lyle, Charles Morgan, John Wolf III, M/M Tim Maroney, M/M Bernard King, M/M Stephen Dodge, Elizabeth Dailey, Corning, and Ruth McDougall.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the many volunteers who gave their time to help us with food boxes and toys. Also the helping hands when needed to lift and carry them. If we forgot anyone, we apologize, we appreciated everyone’s help.
