Norwood Norfolk Youth Baseball Inc. would like to express our sincere thanks to the following. Barrett Paving Materials Inc. for donating a load of crushed stone and the Town of Norfolk for delivering it for our field maintenance day. The stone helped us with a much needed repair of our fence.

We would also like to thank Chris, Kellie and Rylie Smutz. There have been many changes this year for NNYBI with a brand new board of dedicated parents and community members.

We have all put in a lot of time and hard work especially at Lavigne Field.

We are trying to make it a more rememberable experience for the kids. So we attempted to get a make shift sound system so we could play the national anthem and announce the kids names as they come up to bat. Chris Smutz (co owner of Northern Music) was at a game and saw what we were trying to do and was impressed by our efforts’ but Chris knew it could be better.

So on warm Saturday morning Chris and his son Rylie who use to play for NNYBI (and has a mean fastball) came to the field and donated a P.A. system. They installed it and did all the sound checks.

It’s amazing to hear how the sound fills up the ball field. Thank you all for your generosity and time. The kids will be able to benefit from your kindness for years to come.

Robert Voss, V.P. of NNYBI
