North Country Grown Coop host annual dinner

To the Editor:

We members and growers of the North Country Grown Cooperative are grateful for the outpouring of generosity and support for our organization at our annual benefit dinner on last Wednesday, October 15th, at 1844 House Restaurant.

With your help, the benefit was a great success. We thank you so much.

In addition to our delicious meal, and the beautiful music provided by Catherine Jahncke and Rosemary Phillips, we received generous donations from local businesses and craftspersons for our silent auction. Special thanks to Kathleen Buckley, Becky Harblin, Melissa Schulenberg and Andy Souter for their donations of art.

We appreciate the support and donations from local businesses: The Bagelry, The Blackbird Café, Brewer Bookstore, High Peaks Winery, Nature’s Storehouse, St. Lawrence Brewing Company and Shoulette’s Redemption Center. We are grateful to those supporters who donated even though they couldn’t attend the dinner.

Many thanks to our growers for their generous donations of fresh vegetables, baked goods and artisan cheese.

Finally, we thank Brian and Jenny Walker, proprietors of 1844 House Restaurant and the 1844 staff for their service to NCGC and the community.
