To the Editor:
Mr. Gavin Regan, we will remember not to vote for you in November. You can deny all you want that the termination of Mary Lou Rupp had anything to do with the race for the clerk’s position, but people see through your smoke screen. A budgetary decision—bah.
We are democrats and find it appalling you would treat the one person who can assist you the most in such a pernicious way. Do you, Mr. Regan, covet this position that much? The governor was generous to give you this job, on the contrary, you were not as generous or honorable. Firing Mrs. Rupp on the first day makes you look ill-qualified. You wish her luck, perhaps you will be the person who needs it most when your inexperience becomes glaringly apparent.
Yes Mr. Regan, we will remember you and remind our friends before election day to vote for Mary Lou Rupp.
