To the Editor:
On Dec. 4, NeXtWave, the young professionals group of St. Lawrence County, held a board game tournament to raise funds for the Potsdam Holiday Fund.
Through the collection of funds, and donations from area businesses, NeXtWave was able to provide a Potsdam Entertainment Package that consisted of bowling at Market Lanes, a movie at the Roxy and funds for a slice at Little Italy to 10 deserving teenagers.
Additionally, Northern Ice and Dance donated several handbags, wallets, makeup and clothes to brighten the Christmas morning of area teenage girls.
On behalf of NeXtWave, we would like to thank Little Italy, The Roxy and Market Lanes for helping us put the Potsdam Entertainment Packages together as well as for the gifts from Northern Ice and Dance and that our members donated to brighten the season for Potsdam and area youth, and thank you to the Potsdam Holiday Fund for their hard work in making the season merry and bright for so many in our community.
