New well caps important for family health

I was curious about how high (or low) the water table was, so I removed the cap on our well to check. I could not believe my eyes.

Literally hundreds of earwigs blasted out from the top of the well casing.

There were also many, many cobwebs and it looked like some kind of little nests for insect eggs.

I got on the web and found a site “Sanitary Well Cap” and there you can find out all kinds of information about how to prevent this sort of thing from happening, and how to clean up your well.

These new well caps cost a little more than the ones that have been a mainstay for 50 years, but they’re well worth the price when it comes to your family’s health.
