To the Editor:

In response to your “news” link headline, “Should New St. Lawrence County DA Be Seen Swigging Champagne from Bottle?”

Seriously?

The woman just won a very hard-fought and tight election against a current DA who has at minimum legitimate concerns shared by many constituents regarding her work performance and history.

As a left leaning Independent whom voted for Ms. Rain, I can state that you do no service to those on my side (and assuming yours as well) of the political spectrum by headlining and attempting to make such news where there is none.

And as a recent former media professional with a masters degree in media management whom worked professionally in the publishing business in New York City for more than 15 years, I can also state that you afford your industry no service or credibility in doing such. As Mr. Gray from Massena submitted to you, if you’re going to endorse Ms. Duve, then just come out and do so, but you probably should have before the election.
