Nelson tirelessly devoted to City of Ogdensburg

To the Editor:

I am urging my friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers and fellow citizens to vote to re-elect Bill Nelson as the mayor of Ogdensburg.

Although Bill is my cousin and I have known him my entire life, that is not why I am voting for him and urging you to vote for him. I am doing so because Bill is most definitely the candidate that we need in office.

He has tirelessly devoted himself to serve this city, first as a councilor and then as mayor for several years now. He has the ability to juggle family, work and mayoral duties as best as anyone could. He spends more time doing mayoral duties than most people know.

He attends conferences, functions and meetings not only city wide, but state wide also. He has attended every function associated with our local veterans since he was a city councilor and I see him at every event that I have attended that promotes our city.

He attends several events at Fort Drum and spends a lot of time in Albany to do whatever he needs to do to help this city.

He sits on several boards here in the city and also state wide. Bill has always had leadership qualities and has always devoted himself 100% to everything that he does.

I honestly don’t think that anyone, could or would work as hard for this city as Bill has and will. I know that not everybody has agreed with everything that Bill has said or done, but to say that Bill hasn’t done what he honestly thinks is best for this city would be untrue.

Bill has seen a lot of good changes happen in this city during his tenure as a city leader and I know for a fact that he would devote no less than 100% to insure that Ogdensburg will become the best city that it can be in the future.

Please get out and vote. If you think that your vote doesn’t count, then look at a recent school board election that ended in a tie.

Look at the last mayoral election that was decided by six votes. Your vote does count.

Cast your vote for Bill Nelson for mayor for the city of Ogdensburg.
