Letter to Editor:
Based on the success of last year’s event I decided to hold Musicality 2014, this is the third consecutive year for the event, with the proceeds to go to the PHCS Music Program.
This year’s event was held Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Parishville Fire Hall.
The weather was beautiful, we had a successful day with many community members coming out to support our event.
We had door prizes, a talent show, a 50/50 raffle, an auction, novelties, bake sale, Rosies Hawg Dogs, St. Lawrence Valley Roasters coffee, face painting, a coloring table, a photo area, music vendors, instrument petting zoo and local musical entertainment.
Our entertainment was provided by Adirondack folk singer Roy Hurd, SUNY Potsdam Crane students /saxophone quartet, Jack Kelley’s Little Big Band, Mr. Cannamela and friends, Amanda Mason, Lori White & Lori Knowles & PHCS Students.
To supplement Musicality proceeds I held a bottle drive and sold 50/50 tickets at the Town of Parishville Bicentennial celebration. I would like to thank all the volunteers who came forward to make the show a success.
I would also like to thank all the people and businesses that donated to this event.
The final check was presented on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at our Christmas concert.
