Morristown man urges residents to use their power to vote

To the Editor:

All the political back and forth in letters are a sign the electorate is somewhat engaged as well we should be. If the electorate was engaged from the beginning it is less likely we would be in such terrible times. Our Republic is under assault as never before.

This is a direct result of “We the People” being disengaged from all forms of government. Local, state and federal governments have eroded freedom and liberty for many, many years. This is measured and deliberate. If this occurred all at once the oppression and tyranny cast upon “We the People” would have met a fierce resistance.

A resistance not seen since the Revolutionary War. A measured and deliberate attack on freedom and liberty has our Republic dwindling to the point of no return. Our founding fathers gave us a Republic for very good reasons. A democracy has always failed and eventually commits suicide. A democracy is mob rule leaving no voice for the minority. Our Republic grants every single Individual and minority a voice. Our Individual rights are granted to us by our Creator not man.

We are all born with these inalienable rights. If a candidate or incumbent refers to our Republic as democracy replace them. Election day November, 4th 2014 must mark a new day to reclaim what is ours. We must stand up for the principles on which our nation was founded, Individual liberty, free enterprise, the right to private property, religious freedom, limited government and a strong national defense. Today, local, state, and federal governments are full of liberals seeking to dismantle our personal freedom and replace it with an over-reaching centralized government.

It my contention “We the People” must reject the progressive efforts to dismantle our nation’s foundations. “We the People” must begin the hard work to undo what these elected liberals have cast upon us. We must vet each and every candidate or incumbent and eliminate those bent on destroying our Republic. If we elect and discover the elected to sell freedom and liberty with promises of government entitlement replacement is the only answer.

Let us use our power, our vote, to Restore Our Constitutional Republic! Our wise founders gave “We the People” the ultimate power. It is time to unleash our power. Replace those whose policies and beliefs will bring more oppression and tyranny upon us.

Vote to Restore our Individual Freedom and Liberty.
