MMH staff handled patient's stay expertly, professionally

To the Editor:

I want to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at MMH for making a recent stay as pleasant as possible.

I recently had a serious fall and sustained multiple injuries requiring a three night stay.

I was treated with respect and dignity by most of the folks I came in contact with during this difficult time.

From my time in the ER until the day I checked out, I did not run into one person who did not know their job or how to deal with my specific situation.

The day I was released we were trying to figure out what to do once I got home.

My mobility was pretty much non-existent and I had no way even getting in the house.

This "saint" from family services showed up to my room and took over the situation.

She called Seaway Valley Ambulance and assisted in arranging a trip home in the ambulance.

She also led us to Tri-Lakes for a hospital bed and walker among other things.

I know how quick we are to complain when things do not go as they should when we seek help from the medical profession, and unfortunately we do tend to run into sub par care here in the North Country.

I just want to make sure that people know that this time, in this case, I could not have expected any better treatment than what I received from Massena Memorial.

Thank you all for taking such good care of me and my wife while I was a patient in your facility.

I would also like to thank the rescue squad folks for their kindness and expertisel.

There are many folks I would like to mention individually, but I would be writing all day.

I am blessed to live in such a great community!
