To the Editor:
I am one of the listeners who have changed radio stations due to the changes made by the new owners of WPDM.
Who do they think still listens to the early morning radio broadcasts? It is the over 50 crowd who love country and local broadcasters who personalize the news for the Potsdam area.
They younger generation only listen to their MP3 players and their playlist music. They don't even tune in when driving their vehicles. They all have the purchased Cirrus radio.
I could even use the radio as my clock as they had certain items at set times. I miss the local birthdays so I could greet people I knew with a "Happy Birthday." The loss of Andy VanDyne and Jeff was like losing family you talk to everyday. I can't even catch the local news anymore
Please tell the new owners to listen to the opinions of those who tuned in 99 hits. We are all tuning in other stations now.
A loyal listener for more than 30 years!
