To the Editor:
The Ogdensburg Democratic Committee will host a meet the candidates’ event Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. at The Freight House Restaurant.
The Democratic Committee believes that the citizens of Ogdensburg should not have to pay to meet their future representatives.
Therefore the event is entirely free and will include refreshments.
In addition to the meet the candidates’ event, the committee would like to call for a debate involving all candidates for city council and mayor. This debate would be moderated by impartial members of the press who will choose the topics and format of the debate.
The citizens of Ogdensburg deserve to know the specifics of each candidates plan for the future of our city. The Committee invites all citizens of Ogdensburg to attend our meet the candidates’ event on Oct. 14, and hear firsthand from the Democratic candidates.
Our candidates have actual plans, not just regurgitated political campaign slogans.
Noah Burns
Chairman, Ogdensburg Democratic Committee
