The Swe-kat-si Chapter NSDAR is a Commemorative Partner with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. Major General James T. Jackson, U.S. Army (Retired), serves as the Director of The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.
This national effort was instituted by the U.S. Government under the auspices of the Department of Defense to do what should have been done 50 years ago: thank and honor Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. You can find out more at www.vietnamwar50th.com/partners
For the last twenty years or so the DAR has attended the first City Hall Council Meeting in September. This year, it will be on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. Mayor Nelson will sign a proclamation to make Sept. 17-23 Constitution Week in the City of Ogdensburg.
We wish to invite all Vietnam Veterans and their families to witness this event which takes place during the first part of the council session. We encourage you to come and be recognized for your Service to our Country. By coming, you will give us, on behalf of the Nation, an opportunity to thank and honor you, Vietnam Veterans and families for your service and sacrifice!
The USA Vietnam War Commemorative Partnership, in a remarkable show of national resolution. Registered are 7,000 organizations who have aligned themselves with this most noble mission ... and more join us every. Our partners, including Swe-kat-si Chapter NSDAR will in addition to defending our Constitution and the ideals embodied within, will host events annually for the next three years.
