Massena resident fortunate for care from Massena Memorial Hospital staff during stay

To the Editor:

This is a letter of thanks and appreciation for my care at the Massena Memorial Hospital. I had been admitted for ambulatory surgery on June 10, but actually spent almost four days in the hospital.

I cannot begin to fully express the kindness and attention that was given to me by the RNs, LPNs and CNAs, and all the staff on the surgical floor; they were all so very caring.

Thank you to Dr. Neil Cichetti for listening to my complaint, to Dr. Canalis for sending me on to a surgeon and, particularly to Dr. Lim for his surgical skill, attentiveness and sensitivity.

The anesthesiology group in the operating room not only has an abundance of patience in explaining what they will do and what to anticipate, but with such levity that one would think you were on a filming site for a modern day M*A*S*H episode.

I feel very fortunate to have had all of them in my court for something I have been whining about for a very long time.

Kudos to Massena Memorial Hospital, thank you so very much.
