Massena Memorial Hospital is 'bullying' new urgicare

Since when is a hospital in the business to bully?

I always thought a hospital was in the business to heal.

In Massena, our beloved hospital has decided to bully a brand new urgicare clinic that has opened its doors for a brand new badly needed service in this area: urgent care.

This hospital has decided to place signs forbidding patients of Mountain Medical Urgicare from parking in their municipally owned parking lot.

Additionally, the hospital has informed their staff not to refer any patients to MMUrgicare under any circumstances.

Shame on MMH administrators as well as the hospital board - they have forgotten their business - their mandate - is to heal and care - not bully.

Perhaps it is time for an overhaul of the MMH administration as well as the seated board, who are forgetting what a hospital business is all about.

Mr. Fahd, and Mr. Sullivan, are you aware that the new clinic is using hospital services when they are not capable of performing specific tests?

Do you really think that to ostracize this business is in the best interests of our community?

I would like to see Charlie Fahd address this letter in the media, with regards to blatantly hateful behavior in the name of "protecting hospital interests (and coffers)".
