To the Editor:
Not only during this week of National Volunteer Recognition, April 10 - April 16 but, each and every other day of the year as well, the staff, Board of Directors and 100 recipients of Massena Meals on Wheels wish to give our utmost appreciation, praise, and respect to all of the volunteers that help "Keep the Wheels Rolling" for our organization. In 2015 our dedicated Volunteers delivered over 22,000 meals.
Our volunteers give so freely of their time and energy.
They do this on a complete basis of their own free will, they are not reimbursed for miles traveled, gas used, or time spent visiting with our recipients or helping our staff.
They are here because they want to be, and for that we are very grateful.
I hope the Volunteers of Massena Meals on Wheels know just how much they are appreciated and enjoyed. It is a pleasure to be surrounded by such a wonderful and inspiring group of individuals.
Jessica J. Fregoe
Executive Director of Massena Meals on Wheels
