To the Editor:
I would like to thank the St. Lawrence County Maple Producers and the Gouverneur Central School Ag Program for hosting the recent Maple Expo on Saturday Jan. 28.
Vendors from across the region and as far away as Vermont came to share information with area maple producers and others who enjoy maple products.
Many area producers and individuals who have expertise in marketing, forest management, maple systems and many other fields hosted hour long workshops to help educate interested participants.
The knowledge they shared helps to fortify the efforts of a modern group of maple producers laboring to produce a product chock full of North Country Heritage in an evolving industry.
Thanks for your attention, and your effort.
