To the Editor:
Congratulations to the U.S. Postal Service.
Yes I for one do not want to lose carriers or local post office locations. But the system is broke. Great efficiency and great care for the customers.
Feb. 18 a check was mailed to me at my old address three miles from where I presently reside. All the necessary forms were filed for the change and verified by the proper offices.
After over one week I consulted with the prominent local business to verify that they had sent it. I then called the local post office, which informed me about the address change system and that it was very efficient and tops of a two week or less timeframe.
Today, March 17, I received the long awaited check. Do the math. Feb 18 postmarked from Syracuse. Sticker for an address change dated March 14 at my local post office. “God Bless America.”
I am so glad to have served to protect one of so many broken government systems.
Thanks from a Vietnam-era vet.
