To the Editor:
The Village of Massena together with the Massena Visionaries partnered to clean-up the village parks on May 2 in conjunction with New York State's I Love My Park Day.
Leaves were raked, debris and litter were collected, benches were painted, graffiti removed and weeds were pulled. After a long winter, the parks are ready to visit and enjoy.
The Massena Visionaries would like to thank the many volunteers and contributors who helped to make this spring spruce up a success. We would like to extend a special thank you to the following: Mayor Tim Currier, Village of Massena DPW & CSEA, Town of Massena, Hassan Fayad, MCHS Boys Varsity Lacrosse, MCHS Athletic Director Tim Hayes, MCHS Girls Varsity Lacrosse, Massena Modified Lacrosse, Pete Firnstein & Massena Little League, Mike McCabe, Massena Recreation Department, Tammy and Wayne White, Mera Faubert, Rose Bronchetti, Dominick Sherman, Massena Boys & Girls Club, Cub Scouts Pack 31, Verville's Flowers, Miss Massena Pageants, Home Depot and Frenchie's Chevrolet.
All the awesome people who came out to volunteer!
This was the second volunteer clean up event held by the Massena Visionaries and we are again overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.
Thank you to everyone involved. Be sure to look out for other exciting events by the Massena Visionaries in the near future!
