To the Editor:
To our wonderful Northern New York community: The Lights on the River Committee would like to thank the outpouring of support for the raffle for the gazebo we completed on May 10.
Thank you to all who bought tickets to support the food pantries. The winner of the gazebo was Amy Ellis of Morristown. We hope the family enjoys it.
A big thank you to Lowe’s, Ogdensburg, for supplying the gazebo. It was a big hit with many.
Thank you to all who helped sell tickets. There were many groups and individuals involved, including the Lisbon Lions Club and the Student Government Club at Lisbon Central School. We had many food pantry coordinators contact people in their communities to help as well. We sincerely thank all who participated.
A big thanks goes to Kinney Drugs, the St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, and Walmart for allowing us the location and time.
Last but not least, a big thanks to Adrien Bigelow for transporting the shed.
Again, thanks to all who supported this event. Without the wonderful support of our great Northern New York Community, this could never have happened. Our Lights on the River event will start December 12, 2015. We will be getting participation forms out soon.
Anyone who would like to put up a display or needs more information may contact Scott Wilhelm, 854-2657. Thank you.
