To the Editor:
Lights on the River hosts a Food Pantry meeting every year during our October meeting. We invite all the food pantries that we work with and it gives them an opportunity to discuss challenges and issues they are facing.
Food pantry workers are mainly volunteers so staff turnover can be substantial over the course of a year so it also gives the food pantries an opportunity (as well as us) to meet the new volunteers and staff at each center.
The meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 9. at the Lisbon Hepburn Library at 6 p.m.
