To the Editor:
In recent months, I’ve started to notice an alarming trend happening, especially in the Ogdensburg area.
Some citizens may not take notice, but health nuts such as myself are perceptive to potential hazards from everyday litter.
Now, I am not talking about improperly disposed cardboard products. I want to let the community know that there’s been a spike in sharps and needles left around side streets, where families with young children reside.
I commute to Ogdensburg for work daily and notice that people also dispose their cigarette butts directly in the streets and plots of land. It just sickens me that the environment also takes a beating from some of the careless actions of individuals.
If you use any of these products, kindly dispose of them properly to keep our communities safe and clean.
