Legislative candidate wants support in primary

To the Editor:

During the last nine months, I have spent many hours meeting with the residents of District 8 and discussing their Concerns. I decided to run for the County Legislature because every year I have seen friends and family members of all ages forced to leave the North Country Because of a lack of jobs and ever increasing taxes.

As Legislator, my top priorities will be Job Creation and economic development, and to HOLD THE LINE on taxes. The people of Northern New York are being overtaxed as it is; this never-ending story of tax hikes has to end! Many residents are living paycheck to paycheck, and many retirees are in a position that if taxes increase again, they would lose their homes. The bottom line is that you cannot spend money that you do not have; and that you cannot increase expenditures during a deficit. It is these common-sense principals that with your support I hope to be able to bring to the County Legislature.

On Tuesday Sept. 14, please join me in working to encourage job creation, and to HOLD THE LINE on taxes by voting for me in the Republican primary. I would like to thank you for your support in advanced.

Matthew Flynn II

Candidate For County Legislator: District 8
