To the Editor:
I’m a little confused about this voting on the rec program:
1. Do we have to show up with our property titles in hand?
2. If my husband and I own a house jointly, but only one name is on the title, can only one of us vote?
3. Do you plan on weighting the votes based on the assessed value of the property?
4. If a local landlord owns, say, half a dozen houses, can he/she vote half a dozen times?
5. What happens if a house is owned by someone who does not live in the area? Do they have to come up here and vote anyhow?
6. Doesn’t the Constitution prohibit elections being restricted to property-owners?
7. Assuming this is legal, does the village propose to extend the restrictions to other local elections?
