To the Editor:
My name is Sheri Wilson and I am running for town board councilman. Although I am running under the Republican and Independent Parties, I would be a voice for everyone.
In my previous and current positions, I work(ed) with large sum budgets and have excelled in proper budget planning and decision-making. With my experience in high level budgeting, I am determined to bring positive change, by researching and using grants to alleviate some spending as well as utilizing government programs are offered.
I have learned to always do my homework and use the resources available to me, before making any decisions and weighing out the pros and cons of each decision.
I believe that I am a great candidate for this position on the Town Board. My past management and current management positions have taught me diligence, finance skills, and, most important, patience.
I am currently an active member of Nicholville Volunteer Fire Department and hold the office of the President. I am also an active member of Tri-Town Rescue Squad, holding the secretary position and am a Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) basic level. In addition, I am the president for the Nicholville Recreation committee.
As you can see, I have a desire to help my community and give back. From a young age my family was always involved in community events and it instilled not only my work ethic, but also a selfless attitude.
I am asking for your support when you go to vote this November. Please feel free to call me at 212-6031 or email me at sheriwilson911@yahoo.com if you have any questions or concerns. I would be more than happy to speak with you.
