Keep pressure on judge over pistol permit issues

To the Editor:

The Northern New York Freedom Fighters, hunters, sportsmen and simple gun owners attended the June 1 public hearing on the proposed “Local Law ‘E,’ Defining the Term ‘Proper Cause’ as Found in Penal Law § 400.00(2)(f) regarding Licenses to Carry, Possess, Repair and Dispose of Firearms.”

We rallied, marched, protested, wrote letters and campaigned for individuals who would support the Second Amendment and these Legislators have done just that.

We now have a County Legislature that respects the Second Amendment and is working for us but word has it that many are applying for new licenses, or reconsideration of the restrictions placed on their existing licenses, and are being denied by Judge Jerome Richards.

I strongly encourage every citizen of St. Lawrence County who has applied for a new pistol license, applied for modification of the restrictions on their existing license as an in-county resident or has applied for a lifting of the restrictions on their existing pistol licenses as an out-of-county resident, to please send me a letter, including your request for consideration paperwork and any denial or acceptance paperwork you may have received from the Court.

We need to keep the fire on Judge Richards and support our County Legislators in moving forward with removing restrictions on our God given rights as free people in a free country. Together, we can make it happen.

Please send any paperwork you have sent and received regarding your pistol license to the following address:
