It's not so hot, compared to Arizona

To the Editor:

As a native from Potsdam, I remember lying out at the pool and hearing that it was 99 degrees (this was back in the 70's), and thinking, "Wow, how hot could it get?"

Well, now I live in Surprise, Ariz., and we would welcome a mere 98 degrees, but you poor saps have to deal with the humidity, too!

Hang in there, you'll have three feet of snow on the ground before you care to think about it.

Patrick MacGregor,

Surprise, Ariz.

P.S. We've topped out at 115 degrees today, but it'll get worse when the hot weather rolls in.
