Please join me in voting this Election Day for some wonderful candidates to serve on our village and town boards.
I have lived in Canton for almost 18 years and don’t think I have ever seen so many impressive candidates running at the same time. I believe Carol Pynchon and Sean O’Brien to be the best choices for village trustees and Rosemary Phillips and Bob Washo for the town board.
All have strong ties to the Canton community and much to offer us. I am so grateful that such committed, intelligent, progressive people are willing and able to volunteer their time to help Canton continue becoming a vibrant place for people to live, work, and go to school.
Canton’s outgoing mayor, Mary Ann Ashley, has done a wonderful job in so many ways, but one of the best has been to engage community members in thinking about the Canton they want to live in and how to best create it. I think her good work has encouraged some of these terrific trustee candidates to serve their community so want to say, “Thank you, Mayor Ashley”.
It is my great hope that Carol, Sean, Bob, and Rosemary will be elected on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and continue this important work.
