To the Editor:

I was a part of the Massena Silver and Black Semi Pro football team. Because of the actions of our co-owner, we as a team folded and are no longer an active team.

I know that there are some of my teammates who still want to play football, as do I. What I want to know is whether there are people here in the North Country that would be interested in playing, sponsoring, or helping with starting a new team?

This would be a community-based team that would play here in the area and take part in community events.

I would like to be part of bringing a team back into this area and simply want to know if anyone else is interested.

I really feel that this area would benefit from a semi-pro football team and we would like to have that support as well.
