To the Editor:
The 2015 Hopkinton SummerFest ended over a decade of successful festivals. It is with regret that we will no longer be hosting this event.
The committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers for the assistance they provided over the years. It didn’t matter whether a person was cooking/serving refreshments, providing the entertainment (both for adults and children), participation in the parade or talent show, the festivals could not have been successful without you. Our small town certainly rocked during these two-day events.
A special thank you also goes out to the following local businesses that made specific donations over the past years to help keep the costs down, enabling this to be a true family event: Collins Market, Cuts ‘N Bit More, Elliott’s Farm and Home Supply, Eakins Lime, Genaway Oil, The Jug, Lamphere’s Market, Lamphere Trucking, Greg & Molly Caron, Barnyard Customs, Numed, Norco Farms, Mike’s Garage, Twin Pines, Merriman’s, Diamond Propane, Wheels General Repair, Champlain Communications, Northern Fire Equipment, Adirondack Growers, Nicholville Telephone, John’s Auto Sales, Rick’s Auto, MacFadden Dier Agency, Econo Fuels, MX Fuels, and Seaway Timber. If we have forgotten anyone, it was not intentional.
Our small town certainly rocked during these two-day events.
Susan Wood
