To the Editor:
I am a volunteer at the Hopkinton Food Pantry and have seen the need for community support.
Many have lost their jobs, or have had their hours reduced. But the cost of maintaining a home keeps going up. The cost of food keeps going up. Food Stamps have been reduced to many.
I also volunteer at the Hopkinton Library; many of our patrons have had to discontinue their internet. Our computer use at the library has risen. Our Interlibrary Loan service is used by many.
I, for one, am glad there are agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals who donate, be it time, services, goods or money.
The causes they support are worthy and appreciated.
Hopkinton is fortunate to have a town board who provides an area for the food pantry and a budget for our library.
They and all the Hopkinton town taxpayers deserve thanks.
