To the Editor:
The Hopkinton Food Pantry would like to thank everyone who has supported us during the years we have been in service.
Since 2006, we have helped supplement our community and surrounding areas with donations only. We are not part of the Central Food Bank, as we have no permanent location.
Our town board allows us to set up and distribute once a month; we have no overhead. All donations go to the community we serve.
All pantry workers, including directors, are volunteers. All donations, except for postage stamps to write letters (especially thank you letters) are used for the purchase of food for our patrons.
We have patron's choice at our pantry. It works for all of us. It is a testament to our honesty and your trust in us that keeps our donations coming in. We will always honor that trust.
We have a 501c3 non-profit number through the Hopkinton Congregational Church. We thank them for this.
Thank you for thinking of others and lets keep this going.
