To the Editor:
At the Democratic caucus, attended by 25 people, Eleanor Hopke lost the nomination for village trustee by one or two votes.
To make matters worse, when one of the nominees dropped out, she was not asked to replace him. I personally think there is some mischief afoot.
Eleanor has been an excellent trustee. She attends almost all of the town board meetings. She has had a lot to do with normalizing relations between the two boards, and has given greatly of her time on a host of village issues. She is a straight shooter.
On the ballot you will have to look down and to the right to find her. She is running on the Sense in Government line. You can do it, and together we will elect the right person for the job.
