Hankfest raises $500 for two charities

To the Editor:

The Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group would like to thank our sponsors,

vendors, volunteers, and over three hundred “fans” for your support and

contributions to our country music festival held on Aug. 13.

The $500 raised was split between The Boys & Girls Club of Ogdensburg and Helping

Hands of Potsdam.

We also wish to acknowledge the wonderful vendors that participated, including Carol Allen and George Cox with the Antique Car Show.

We appreciate Ed Kirby of The Hank Williams Official Fan Club.

In addition, we offer thanks to Scott Dozstan for taking on the emcee duties.

Finally, we recognize and thank the musicians and volunteers who give of their talent and time: Oshier Country, Classic Country, The Acoustic Brothers, and John Wolf.

Ben Hucks did a fine job as Superman, and Colleen Oshier’s Patsy Cline Tribute was well- loved.

We hope to see you at next year’s event on August 11, 2012.

Gregory Bouchard

President of Potsdam Hankfest Charity Group
