To the Editor:
The Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group would like to thank our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and audience for their support and contributions to our country music festival, held Aug. 10. The $305 raised will support this year’s chosen charity,The American Red Cross.
Our sponsors and donors include: North Country Neighbors, Potsdam Pizza Hut; Ponderosa; The Hop; First Crush; The Frame Mill; Jreck Subs; Roxy Theater; Northern Music & Video; Jernabi Coffeehouse; Misty Hollow; Domino’s; Taglio Salon; Today’s Hair & Day Spa; Potsdam IGA; Potsdam Agway; Argent’s; The University Bookstore; Stewart’s; and Lashways Flat Rock Maple, who donated maple syrup. We thank them for their support this year. We also wish to acknowledge the craft vendors who set up.
We wish to acknowledge the additional efforts and support of the following: Potsdam Village Police for bringing over a squad car, Genny and Misty Hollow for face painting, Randy Sixberry of Great Northern Printing for our staff shirts, Fonda for taking photos, Marylee at the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce, Dan’s Plumbing & Heating, and the village of Potsdam. Finally, we appreciate Julie Fudge, president of the Always Patsy Cline Fan Organization, and Patsy’s daughter for the raffle basket as well as a special “Patsy Cline” cowboy hat. We greatly appreciate the support of Julie and her father, Charlie Dick.
Finally, we recognize and thank the musicians and volunteers who give their talent and time: Oshier Country, Back Country, Larry Holly, Peter Darling, and the Bobby Hernes Band. We deeply appreciate the time and effort put in by Colleen Oshier and Skip Perry. Their assistance has contributed greatly to the success and growth of Hankfest.
We look forward to seeing everyone back next year on Aug. 9 for the ninth annual Hankfest.
Gregory Bouchard,
President of Potsdam Hankfest Charity Group
