To the Editor:
The Potsdam Charity Hankfest Group had another successful Hankfest Event on August 8.
The volunteers thank those in attendance who helped to raise $750 toward a scholarship for a Potsdam High School student pursuing a music education.
We also appreciate the performers that generously gave their talent and time. Those performers include Oshier Country, Chris & Travis Duo, Timeline, Back Country, Don MacPherson, and Wayne Ashley.
Finally, we thank the following businesses and individuals that donated raffle and door prize items: Brick & Mortar Music, Between the Buns, The Bagelry, Domino’s Pizza, First Crush, Great Northern Printing, Jernabi Coffeehouse, Jreck Subs, Misty Hollow, North Country Neighbors, North Country Savings Bank, Ponderosa, Potsdam IGA, Price Chopper, Prima Bellas, The Cornerstore, The Frame Mill, Total Image Salon, The Tread Mill, University Bookstore, 3 Bears Gluten Free Bakery & Café, Pizza Hut, Monroe Muffler, Shear Creations, Save A Lot, Kinney Drugs, and Walmart.
Next year’s event will feature a tribute to the country music legend Merle Haggard. Date of the event is to be announced.
Check out Facebook for our new page Hankfest Fan Site for updates on events the group will host.
