Hammond town clerk candidate invested in the town

Hello, my name is Cathleen Tulley; I am running for the position of town clerk.

As many of you know I am a long time resident of the town. I grew up on my family’s farm in Pleasant Valley. I would love to have met each and every one of you in person, but due to the busy lives of everyone that’s impossible.

My parents are James and Nancy Gleason. I attended Hammond Central School in which I graduated in 1988. I then married Ronald Tulley II in 1993. We built our home on the River Road. We started our family and have four children, Jordyn, Brock, Cale and Mia.

My grandfather Robert Gleason was the town supervisor for many years, my dad is the code enforcer and my husband served on the council for eight years. He is now on the school board. My family, including myself has a big part in the Hammond Fair.

So as you can see I have a lot invested into this town and I would love to see it prosper. I would like to see about bringing in new revenue but at the same time save money. I would like to look into bringing back the issuing of hunting and fishing licenses.

I would also extend hours for convenience during peak seasons such as tax time and the onset of hunting season. I would be there for the people. I know I could be an asset to the community and would work hard and efficiently.

I am up for the challenge and hope you feel that way too. I would greatly appreciate your vote on Sept. 10 and again in November. Thank you.

Cathleen Tulley
