To the Editor:
Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity raised just over $16,000 at the combined walk-a-thon sites on Sunday, May 1. Donations have continued to come in Monday and our total is now very close to $17,000.
We are thankful for the support from all of our local volunteers, churches, schools, businesses, service organizations, individuals, and the media in our local communities. Without local support our organization is not able to buy building supplies to build homes for qualified families.
Everyone who participated this year was delighted to have a beautiful sunny day for our walk.
Norma LaPointe, Secretary
