To the Editor:
I fail to see how enabling a gun-toting homicidal maniac to do his dirty work honors the ideal of “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state…”
Moreover, I don’t see how turning a blind eye to gun violence honors the lofty ideals so magnificently stated in the Preamble of the Constitution.
My heart goes out to those families who have lost loved ones to senseless gun violence, and I grieve that their sacred right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” has been so ruthlessly taken away.
