To the Editor:

On behalf of the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce I would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make our 84th annual dinner that was held at the St. Lawrence Centre Mall April 21 a success.

The annual dinner is an opportunity for us to recognize various businesses and/or individuals with a variety of awards, as well as, being one of our major fundraisers.”

The following businesses and/or individuals were presented awards at this year's dinner:

• Volunteer of the Year - Lindsey Breitbeck - Celebrates an individual who has consistently given generously of his/her time in support of Chamber events, projects and initiatives over a sustained period.

• Business Leadership - James Ward - Recognizes not only a person who runs a successful business, but someone who shows exceptional service to the community, respect for employees, and dedication to customer service.

• Community Support - Lori Collins and Family, Edward John Roder and Amedeo Cappione - This award recognizes an individual or business for their continued support of the Massena Community.

• Board of Directors - Victor Perry - This award recognizes special organizations or individuals who have made an extraordinary impact on the performance of the Chamber.

• Excellence in Entrepreneurship - 2 Mama Birds (Nance Arquiett & Brittany Murtagh)

This award was created to recognize an up and coming small business and the entrepreneurs behind it that exemplify the American entrepreneurial spirit.

We would also like to thank the St. Lawrence Centre Mall, The Club II, On the Edge Designs, Amici's Italian Grill, Verville's, Peets Jewelers and Todd Truax.
